Artwork Deep Dive
Multiple variations of string colour were trialed before the decision was made to go with the striking red you see on the artwork.
The material used is from a flowery dress owned by Kieron's partner (as of writing, the dress is still in her wardrobe rotation with minimal damage - despite being handled by two clueless blokes)
The dress material was too thin to embroider by hand with the thick thread, because of this we had to use a thick black shirt and edit the design on. The question is, did it fool you?
The artwork for Rachel formed from Kieron's unique idea to use textured material as a basis. A deceptively simple design, the process for creating the artwork ended up being being fairly complex as the material used was too thin for a thick thread embroidery.
